Penstocks for hydroelectric plants

PLCO Pipelines Construction SA has built several penstocks (high-pressure pipelines) for hydraulic plants for electricity producers in Switzerland. It is highly specialised in building and restoring penstocks for small hydroelectric plants (“small hydroelectricity” configurations of ≤10 MW).

Through partnerships with the main Swiss players in small hydroelectricity, and a notable joint venture with one of the country’s leading civil engineering constructors, PLCO Pipelines Construction SA is able to deliver the complete turnkey construction of penstocks, including all supply, fitting, assembly, welding, anchoring and civil engineering work.

PLCO Pipelines Construction SA is a member of the Swiss Association of Small Power Plant Operators (ADUR/ISKB), and the European Small Hydropower Association (ESHA) and is actively involved in developing renewable electricity production.
